Speaking to a counsellor can be helpful in exploring ourselves, our relational patterns and making sense of our experiences. These explorations can be illuminating in charting a way forward. The idea of sharing your inner world with a stranger may evoke anxiety or feel scary. I remember feeling that way when I first started therapy.
